On the path you can see several tuna observation posts which bear witness to a famous past when Bakar was the centre of fishing in the northern Croatian littoral. The most important and over the centuries the most profitable, Adriatic group of standing tuna fishing posts were in fact in the Bay of Bakar. The last active tuna fishing post was named \u201cBakarac\u201d and it was used until the mid-20th century. The path continues right beside the sea all the way to Kraljevica and the Frankopan castle.
