Trail description
The trail is only 3.04 km long, nevertheless, it is quite tiring due to a steep ascent and descent. It took its name from the parish’s guardian saint, in whose honour the church was built on ruins from the 16th century. Cernik is one of the oldest places in the municipality of Čavle, inhabited back in pre-history, which is evident from the remains on the top of Cernik hill from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the eastern part of the municipality of Čavle. From the foot to the top there also leads a Way of the Cross path marked with stations whose texts are written in Grobnik Chakavian dialect and have been registered in the protected cultural assets of the Republic of Croatia.
